High Country CSA is the region’s pioneering multi-farm Community Supported Agriculture or CSA. We are a collaborative of 5 small, local farms and represent a network of local producers. We work together to deliver the best of High Country agriculture to you.
Shares, or produce boxes, are purchased in advance of the season, and delivered weekly on Wednesdays to your choice of multiple pick up sites including, the Watauga County Agricultural Extension Office, the Valle Crucis Rivercross Market, the Watauga County Arts Council, or F.A.R.M. Cafe in downtown Boone. We also deliver to a number of private employers and to Ashe County on Thursdays at the Ashe Memorial Hospital.
- The produce boxes for the full 20 week season come in two sizes Regular and Small. The Regular Share has 6-8 veggies / week and is best for a family or big veggie eaters. The Small Share has 5-7 veggies / week and is best for 1-3 people.
- The produce boxes for the Fall Share are one size, for a 10 week season, with 6-8 veggies / week.
By purchasing a share of High County CSA, you become a member for the season, directly supporting local farms, preserving farmland, and everyone’s access to quality produce.
The multi-farm CSA model enables local farmers a continuum of engaged customers, intent on preserving the abundance and variety of quality produce in the High Country.
We care about environment, community, and ethical food production.
